  • What does “all natural” mean on CHEF’S CRAFT® gourmet chicken products?
    The term “all-natural” on the package means that the chicken was minimally processed and has no artificial ingredients, coloring ingredients, or chemical preservatives.
  • Are CHEF’S CRAFT® chicken products gluten-free?
    All our products, including CHEF’S CRAFT® Flame Grilled Chicken Breast Fillets, Breaded Chicken Breast Chunks and Grilled Chicken Breast Chunks, are gluten-free and can be enjoyed as part of a healthy gluten-free lifestyle.
  • Is your chicken non-GMO?
    CHEF’S CRAFT® chicken is not genetically modified; however, our chickens are fed a vegetarian diet, which includes corn that has been genetically modified. Why? Since more than 80% of corn grown in the United States is raised from genetically modified seeds most animal feed contains GMO ingredients. According to the National Chicken Council, there is no nutritional difference between chickens fed a GMO diet and chickens fed a non-GMO diet, and it does not create any food safety or nutrition concerns.
  • Does CHEF’S CRAFT® chicken contain antibiotics?
    Our chickens are not given or fed antibiotics at any time, so you can be sure that all CHEF’S CRAFT® chicken products have no antibiotics ever.
  • Are CHEF’S CRAFT® Gourmet gluten free, breaded, Chicken Breast Chunks with Rib Meat made in a gluten free facility? Are they Beyond Celiac certified?
    No, this product is not made in a gluten free facility and is not Beyond Celiac certified. However, this and all CHEF’S CRAFT® gluten free products are made in a processing facility that is inspected by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS) and follows BRCGS gluten-free protocols. This means we must consistently prove that our processes are strictly controlled to effectively prevent contact with ingredients containing gluten.

    Consistently meeting these standards is what allows us to label specific CHEF’S CRAFT® Gourmet products “gluten free.”

Our Practices

  • How are CHEF’S CRAFT® chickens raised?
    We are committed to providing excellent animal care. All our chickens are raised in cage-free, climate-controlled housing that provides plenty of room for them to move and offers constant access to fresh food and water.
  • Does CHEF’S CRAFT® use steroids or hormones?
    No, our chickens are never given steroids or added hormones of any kind. In fact, federal law strictly prohibits using them when raising poultry.
  • Are CHEF’S CRAFT® chickens raised and produced in the U.S.?
    We are proud to work with American family farmers to produce high-quality chicken products. All of our chickens are raised on U.S. family-owned farms, and all CHEF’S CRAFT® chicken products are processed in the U.S. None of our chickens are raised or produced overseas.
  • How do chickens grow so big so fast?
    Generations of breeding have created naturally larger chickens with stronger legs. No genetic modification is used to enhance growth, and federal law prohibits the use of hormones or steroids.
